Since April of 2010, Mitch Mahoney has facilitated the development of the Hulett Museum & Art Gallery (http://wyomingroundup.blogspot.com/2011/01/sustainable-future-for-wests-history.html) whose mission is to collect and preserve the history, culture and integrity of northeastern Wyoming. The Museum seeks to inspire, educate and enrich the lives of the community, tourists, and visitors by collecting and preserving both prehistoric and historic artifacts. These objects are artifacts of the heritage of the people of Hulett and surrounding area. With collections consisting of Geological, Paleontological, Archaeological, Native American and Historical Items, there is something for everyone.
Mitch Mahoney works with area schools to facilitate visits to the museum for tours and lectures and goes out into the community to bring artifacts, art and the love of local history to all who desire to learn more.
